I like this picture because it has a unique feel to it. The focus of the photograph are the stack of books above a scorched table.

The light in the photograph seems to be coming from the sun reflected on the books and wall. The only space which is not hit by the sunlight is everything below the top of the table.

The table in the photo gives it depth. the positive space is the stack of books, and the negative space is the background wall and floor which are scorched.

The cover of the books are soft to the hand, but the wall seems harsh to the touch of the hand. The texture seems to play a big role in this photo. Also the prospective from which it is taken adds a lot of mystery to it.

The books have their original colors, the background wall and floor, including the table have hues of black and grey.
