Wasted Illuminations by Tris Vonna-Michell

This picture really stood out to me on iheartphotograph. This picture tells a story of someone's past. All of the good and bad memories can be seen in the pictures that are scaettered on the floor. But what really stood out to me about this picture is the title of it, "Wasted Illuminations." By this title you can determine that there is sorrow in this person's life. Maybe it was a lost love or lost friendship. Whatever it may be it seems that this person regrets what has happened in their past. Or maybe the photographer believes that no matter how many pictures of the past that you take, you have to live in the future, not the past. The colors in this photograph are pretty simple, just sepia, black, and white. I think for this picture those colors really work due to the somber title of the photograph. The picture is taken above the photos so you can see the vast amount of memories.I also like the spacing between the assortment of pictures; It looks as if someone has just thrown them about due to their emotions.
